Sundays on the Rhein

This concert series was the first to be created by Mr. Falko Hönisch in 2015. The title “Sundays on the Rhine” was inspired by the eponymous song by Robert Schumann on a text by Robert Reinick, and the location of the Academy’s Villa, which is directly on the bank of the Rhine, and across Burg Katz and within a few hundred meters from the Loreley.

Audiences enjoy the opportunity to discover singers, instrumentalists and chamber ensembles once per month in the recital hall of the Academy.

Through this series, the Academy accomplishes its educational mission, as well as its goal of bringing top level classical music to the Upper Middle Rhine Valley to audiences. All audiences, regardless of their financial situation, can enjoy these concerts since they are presented on a free admission basis, although voluntary donations are encouraged in order to guarantee the survival of the series as well as the remuneration of the artists featured in the series.

Seating for these events is limited, so early ticket reservation is suggested. Tickets may be reserved by phone at 0173-5728995 or by e-mail to tickets.sgimfa@gmail.com.
