Burg Gutenfels Classic
Burg Gutenfels, with its impressive location, commands over the vineyards of Kaub and the breathtaking landscape of the Rhine river and Burg Pfalzgrafenstein, reminding us of a long-gone era. Having the opportunity to listen to live music in such a historical context is a unique opportunity which is made possible through our Song and Chamber music programs.
This open-air concert series takes place between may and september in the acoustically ideal inner courtyard of the castle. Since there is no protection from the elements in the event of bad weather, appropriate clothing is suggested.
Through this series, the Academy accomplishes its educational mission, as well as its goal of bringing top level classical music to the Upper Middle Rhine Valley to audiences. All audiences, regardless of their financial situation, can enjoy these concerts since they are presented on a free admission basis, although voluntary donations are encouraged in order to guarantee the survival of the series as well as the remuneration of the artists featured in the series.
