Malu Dreyer, Prime Minister of Rhineland-Palatinate

Ladies and gentlemen,
Dear music lovers,

two years ago, the project Sankt Goar International Music Festival and Academy was created at the private behest of Mr. Falko Hönisch and Dr. Emilio Pons with the aim of creating a place for the study, promotion and, in particular, performance of classical music. The multi-faceted project has attracted young artists and audience members from near and far.

Already in 2014 the Academy launched its activities, offering courses for emerging artists from all over the world under the artistic and pedagogical guidance of internationally acclaimed musicians.

Since then, music lovers have been able to enjoy a previously unavailable offering of classical music in the beautiful environment of the Gründerzeit villa of the Academy.

I look forward in particular to the various concert series that will be offered as of this year, 2016.

The “Sundays at the Rhine” series, which has presented monthly concerts since January 2015 on a free admission basis, will already be entering its second season.

In this year, the Academy and Festival are responsible for creating more than 70 concerts in the Upper Middle Rhine Valley, between Braubach and Bacharach.

Ladies and gentlemen: do not miss this wonderful opportunity, and attend the concerts which the Sankt Goar International Music Festival and Academy presents in 2016 in the Upper Middle Rhine Valley! Enjoy memorable experiences, evocative moments and good entertainment.
