Ladies and gentlemen,
Dear music lovers,

Our District has a lot to offer and I am delighted that the Sankt Goar International Music Festival and Academy, together with PatronArt GmbH have their seat in the Rhein-Hunsrück District and thus enrich as musical ambassadors of the region the cultural life of the population of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley and the Hunsrück region through high level classical music events. Our economy and tourism enjoy new stimuli through the enrichment of the valley’s cultural offering.

Through the transformation of the former premises of the local health authority into a music academy a very special project came to life. The building was painstakingly and beautifully renovated by the investors and founders of the music academy and tailored to its needs. It is now a delightful, inviting place for the study and performance of classical music.

Since operations began in the Summer of 2014, the concerts have gained increasing popularity. The various concert series planned for 2016 are thus very likely to become a musical and cultural highlight of the region. These ambitious concerts guarantee a high musical level. I therefore recommend that you attend the performances, for the written word cannot replace the experience of the sound of music.

I wish to thank the founders, supporters and sponsors, and, of course, also all the artists involved in this project for their dedication. I wish the Sankt Goar International Music Festival and Academy a successful development and extend my warmest welcome to all the musicians and guests of the festival and the academy.
