Opera Audition Training II

Our Audition Training Programs are unparalleled. The intensive daily training that participants receive from experienced coaches and professional singers and pedagogues prepares them for the master classes which culminate these sessions. In them, participants have the rare opportunity to sing for and receive immediate feedback and advice from knowledgeable and experienced casting directors of some of Europe’s best opera houses and festivals.

Tuition and fees is:

FULL plan: €1050, or

HALF plan: €595

It is comprised as follows:

Tuition: €680 (full plan: 8 individual coachings; 4 studio classes; 2 master classes)

€365 (half plan: 4 individual coachings, 2 studio classes; 2 master classes)

Facilities fee:

Full plan: €150

Half plan: €100

Housing (shared double-room) and breakfast:

Full plan: €220 (Monday, July 3 – Monday, July 10)

Half plan: €130 (Thursday, July 6 – Monday, July 10)

Students may choose to arrange their own accommodation.

Each student receives:

  • a total of 8 individual forty-minute lessons (twice daily), and
  • participates in 2 guest master classes and
  • 4 studio master classes.

Repertoire must be chosen pursuant to the singers’ current degree of technical and artistic development, in consultation with SGIMFA faculty members.

Students are hosted on a double-room basis in a beautiful, fully remodelled, 1892 villa on the bank of the Rhine river.

In order to be accepted, you must meet one of the following criteria:

(a) be recommended by a current or former SGIMFA faculty member;

(b) submit an unedited video audition (YouTube link) for review by our admissions committee.

In addition, you must complete and submit our application form and pay a €40 application fee.
